Choosing well

The four things to check

01

11 mm

Thin enough not to create a step on a reveal or a wall return.

02

71 mm

An in-between width: more covering than a trim, more discreet than cladding.

03

Matched

Shades strictly identical to the rest of the outdoor range: no visible break.

04

Versatile

Dressing, decorative alternation or structural sheathing — three jobs from one product.

The flat façade board is a finisher's product. At 11 mm thick and 71 mm wide, it is not trying to cover ground quickly: it exists to dress what larger boards cannot handle cleanly.

Three precise uses

Light dressing. A window reveal, a wall return, a parapet: anywhere a 25 mm board would stand proud, the flat profile fits without creating awkward thickness.

Playing with widths. Alternated with 150 or 169 mm boards, it breaks the regularity of a façade and produces an irregular rhythm that gives character to a large uniform wall.

Exposed structure. A pergola frame, a post, a soffit band: the flat board sheathes them in the same shade as the rest of the façade, for continuity of material.

Two shades, matched to the range

Walnut and Teak use exactly the same shades as our cladding and decking boards. That is deliberate: you can sheathe a structure in flat board and fit cladding right beside it with no visible break in tone.

Frequently asked questions

What we get asked most often

Can the flat board cover a whole façade?
It can, but it rarely makes sense: at 71 mm effective, you need close to 14 linear metres per m², meaning a lot of fixings and installation time. It works better as an accent, alternated with wide boards.
Can it be used to dress a pergola?
Yes, and it is one of its best uses. It sheathes a metal or timber structure and makes it match the façade cladding. Allow a fixing every 40 cm to avoid any waviness over long spans.
Is it strong enough despite being thin?
Yes, for dressing over a continuous substrate, which is what it is designed for. It is not intended to span unsupported or to carry load: it is not a structural element.
