- Compact 60 × 42 mm format — a slimmer profile than the standard 100 × 50 mm, ideal for low terraces, spaces with height constraints or projects that need a more discreet structure.
- Three-chamber hollow section — a hollow design with three internal compartments that optimises the strength-to-weight ratio — as strong as a solid tube, but far lighter to transport and handle.
- Teak shade — a finish that matches DECNO composite decking boards, for the parts of the structure visible at the terrace edge.
- High-density composite wood (WPC) — waterproof, resistant to UV, frost, insects and termites — unlike timber structures, which rot over time.
- Zero upkeep — needs no treatment, no stain and no additional protection — once installed, it lasts without intervention.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently asked questions

this product
What is the Teak 60×42 composite tube?
The Teak 60×42 composite tube is the structural element laid on the ground or on pedestals that supports the decking boards. Its format, more compact than the 100 × 50 mm version, makes it ideal for low terraces or spaces with height constraints, while keeping the strength of its three-chamber hollow section.
What is the difference between the 100×50 and the 60×42 tube?
The 60 × 42 mm format is more compact and lighter than the standard 100 × 50 mm. It suits low terraces, tight spaces or projects that need a less imposing structure, while keeping the same technical performance (UV, moisture and insect resistance).
How is the Teak 60×42 composite tube installed?
The composite tube is laid perpendicular to the direction of the decking boards, generally spaced 30 to 40 cm apart depending on the recommendations. It can be installed on slim adjustable PVC pedestals for a low, ventilated terrace, on a concrete slab, or directly on stabilised ground.
Why choose a composite tube rather than timber?
Unlike natural timber, which rots, distorts and needs regular treatment, the WPC composite tube resists moisture, insects and UV over the long term. It keeps its shape and its mechanical strength over time, even in prolonged contact with the ground or with damp.
Is the compact 60×42 format as strong as the 100×50?
The 60 × 42 format offers excellent strength for the applications suited to its size, such as low terraces or short spans. For terraces more demanding in terms of load or span between supports, the 100 × 50 format remains the recommendation. Contact our team to confirm the right format for your project.
Does the Teak 60×42 composite tube need maintenance?
No. The DECNO composite tube needs no particular upkeep once installed. Unlike timber, which must be treated regularly against damp and insects, the WPC tube keeps its structural properties with no intervention at all.
